METRAC's in-house fabrication capability covers the full range of architectural metalwork — from simple drip and window-surround flashings through to complex welded assemblies, perforated panels, crenelation flashings and bespoke facade elements. The 20,000 sq ft manufacturing unit is equipped with roll formers, turret punches, brake presses, folders and guillotines, operated by specialist fabricators with experience in welding aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel and nickel alloy.
All bespoke fabrications are produced to approved client drawings. METRAC offer drawing review as standard and can carry out site visits to confirm dimensions and details ahead of manufacture. A prototype service is available for complex or high-tolerance work — allowing a sample to be checked on site before full production begins. Typically a 10 working day lead time from order confirmation.
Solid aluminium fabrications are inherently non-combustible and achieve A1 classification under EN 13501-1, or A2-S1 if powder coated — meeting UK regulations for external wall surfaces on higher-risk buildings. Supporting documentation for fire strategies is available on request.
