Copings and Cappings are the capping element fixed to the top of a parapet wall, providing weatherproofing and a clean architectural finish. METRAC aluminium copings & capping systems are manufactured to client drawings in secret fix or standard fix configurations — the secret fix method conceals all fixings once installed, while standard fix suits applications where access or budget are the priority.

All copings and cappings are manufactured from aluminium and powder coated to QUALICOAT certification, across the full RAL range. Marine grade powder coating is available for coastal or high-exposure applications. From initial design consultation through to prototype and full production, METRAC work with specifiers and contractors to ensure the right profile arrives on site, on programme.

Solid aluminium is inherently non-combustible and achieves A1 classification under EN 13501-1, or A2-S1 if powder coated — meeting UK regulations for external wall surfaces on higher-risk buildings. Supporting documentation for fire strategies is available on request.
