METRAC column casings conceal exposed structural columns — steel, concrete or masonry — behind a clean powder coated aluminium skin. Each casing wraps multiple faces of the column, typically three sides formed from a single piece, presenting one continuous seamless surface rather than separate bolted-on panels.

Casings are fabricated from thicker-gauge aluminium, typically 2–3mm, for a flat, rigid face that holds its line over the full column height and resists rippling. Joints between sections are detailed with concealed butt straps, keeping fixings hidden and joint lines consistent. The casings are non-structural but built for durability and long-term finish retention.

Each casing is manufactured to drawing to suit the column dimensions, surrounding facade and specified RAL. Where aluminium meets a galvanised steel subframe, isolation tape separates the dissimilar metals to prevent bimetallic corrosion. Forming and geometry are handled in-house.
